We have a current opportunity for Project Managers to assist our client with an upcoming program of work based in Canberra.

 

Responsibilities

We are seeking a number of experienced Project Managers to work with our government clients to support the management and successful delivery of a range of transformation projects.

 

The Project Managers will be part of a multi-disciplinary team who will be working with all teams associated with the transformation programs, key stakeholders across ICT and Business areas.

 

  1. Be responsible for managing the project team and key stakeholders, inputs across multiple parties to drive the successful delivery of the project.

  2. Plan project phases, monitor the project progress, handle change requests and lead communication required.

  3. Undertake Stakeholder engagement and be the first contact point for all project-related enquiries.

  4. Additional tasks and deliverables (as required) through the duration of the engagement.

  5. Will need to have proven and current experience in ICT project management to provide large and complex project management services as required and is accredited against industry standards.

  6. Will work under the broad direction of senior staff, and will be responsible for overseeing the management of the design, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of project outputs. They will play a key role in managing key strategic stakeholders across all tiers of government to drive the implementation and integration of projects at the operational level.

  7. Will need to have a successful track record in managing medium complexity projects and/or part of a large and complex project.

 

Essential skills and experience

  • You must have demonstrated experience in successful delivery of projects within large scale corporate or government business with multiple work streams and phases (minimum of 8-10 years’ experience).

  • You will need demonstrated experience in the use of industry recognised project management methodologies such SAFe, and / or experience in PMBOK and Prince2.

 

Work location Canberra, onsite at client location.

 

Security clearance requirements A baseline security clearance will be required, so you must have current Australian citizenship.

 

Contract length Negotiable.
