User Researchers

We have a current opportunity for a User Researcher to assist our client with an upcoming program of work based in Canberra and Sydney.


You will work across existing and past delivery teams with our government client to consolidate user research findings created in agile teams over the past 12 months and to create artefacts that make that work accessible and reusable to a wider audience both within and outside of the organisation. The researchers will also host a series of research insight playback sessions for the client.

Essential skills and experience

  • Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience in User Research.

  • Demonstrated experience with synthesis and sense-making of qualitative research.

  • Demonstrated experience in compelling written, visual and verbal communication of user research insights that effectively communicate to a wide audience.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Knowledge of the methodology used by the DTA, familiarity with the research and design community within DTA and the APS.

  • Have previous experience in agile and work at pace as part of an agile multi-disciplined team.

Work location Canberra, onsite at client location.

Security clearance requirements Current Commonwealth Government baseline security clearance an advantage, otherwise the ability to obtain one in a timely manner. Must be an Australian citizen.
